Are Australian citizens taxed on gains from daytrading US stocks?

June 8, 2010 - 7:36 am 1 Comment

I suggest tha tyou call the ATO and get their input on this question as frankly there are heaps of things to consider and much of it would have to be researched even by relativly experienced people and I doubt whether anyone is going to put in the time to try when they are not aware of all the relevant info (all of your personal circumstances etc). This is really not a easy thing to deal with in Yahoo so call the ATO or go see an accountant who can then ask you all of the relevant questions.

Advise on daytrading options?

June 8, 2010 - 7:31 am 1 Comment

I am pretty new to this so I am just looking for some pointers. I love palying volitility and momentum. Google, CME, stocks like that. What works for you? what are your success stories? I’m addicted to the rush! I’m always willing to learn new stratagies.

As a newcomer, strictly limit the amout of money you’re playing with.

My best success was with some deep in the money calls on Google
about 6 months ago, before it corrected. CHA-CHING!!

Which daytrading system works well?

June 8, 2010 - 7:31 am 2 Comments

This question applies to both paid services and general strategies. There are so many vendors selling software and systems. Have you found any system that works well? Thank you.

I’m afraid that your question is unclear. Are you referring to shares, currency, or commodities. Each graph has its own personal character and is influenced by different factors and needs different methods. Do not trust anything that anybody is selling you, it probably won’t work. You need to spend your time working it out yourself and seeing that it actually works in real time or you will lose.

what is the best stock recommendation site, like for swing or daytrading?

June 8, 2010 - 7:31 am 1 Comment

I have no idea which is the best site, but I will tell you this: No information that you get on these sites is pure. People put it there either to influence the up or down turn of the stock they own, or else it’s a "tip" and it will cost you whatever you invest..

Who makes the 50inch widescreen monitor for daytrading?

June 8, 2010 - 7:25 am 3 Comments

i saw it on youtube. thanks

Those are flat-panel HDTVs.

I’m using a 52" LCD HDTV myself. Check it out: http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f347/armchairaviator/computer/IMG_0880c.jpg

LCD HDTVs usually have HDMI ports. You hook that up to a computer’s DVI port by using a DVI-to-HDMI cable. (Yes, DVI is compatible with HDMI). And and the bigger LCD HDTVs like the 52" are capable of up to 1920×1080 resolution.

Hope this helps.

Does daytrading the SPI Mini work well using astrology and the weather?

June 8, 2010 - 7:25 am 2 Comments

I have been looking at www.justgoodtiming.com

and reading about his Berg timer. Its supposed to forecast movememnt for the market. Has anybody ever used this?
If so does it work well?
Very interested to know.

SPI? Do you mean the SPY? Are we talking about the S&P 500, the Dow, and the Nasdaq — stock market indices?

This should work at least as well as using the length of women’s skirts to predict the direction of stock prices. Or maybe better than who wins the Super Bowl.

It seems there are many confused people, without a foundation of principles and ethics and truth, that have no inclination to learn but plenty of reason to postulate, that have to go looking into astrology for answers. Is it still the Dark Ages?

Maybe try a Ouija board.

What is a good daytrading broker?

June 8, 2010 - 7:25 am 5 Comments

I am looking for a low priced but dependable broker to use

I think Sogotrade is best among all online brokerages. You can get a lot of free trades: about 100 free trades with 500 minimum deposits. It has very good customer services, it also has live help, and you can chat with representatives about any question. After that, only 3 dollar for each trade, pretty sweet when compared with other online brokerages.Referral code: 453934
